Hey Wilmington Dog Owners,
Good news! Our famous Transform Your Dog in 60 Days dog training program is now available to Wilmington, North Carolina dog owners!
The Transform Your Dog in 60 Days (TYD60) program is unique in that it’s a program designed to ‘reverse engineer’ the dog training process.
What does that mean?
Simple.
Traditional dog training is a business that sells hours or blocks of time. You buy X amount of sessions or Y amount of weeks of training and hopefully get to your dog training goals.
What we’ve done with the TYD60 program is say, “How about WE define what we believe to be a well trained dog and see if that resonates with Wilmington dog owners?”
In doing that, we can go to a clear and defined goal and reverse engineer a blueprint to get us there.
So how do we define a well trained dog?
Simple.
We call it ‘the four behavior buckets’.
These dog behavior buckets are buckets we fill with every dog who goes through the program.

Bucket 1
On leash training

Every dog that leaves our program is going to have great on leash training.
No pulling, no lunging, just a dog who knows how to walk politely by your side whether on a walk in your neighborhood or going to the veterinarian’s office or to a pet store or Farmer’s Market.
Bucket 2
Off leash training

When we talk about off leash training we talk about the ability to go on a hike, go down to the beach, or just be in your yard, take off the leash, and have a dog who won’t run off.
A dog who will come when called, or stay close to you when asked.
EVEN if there are other distractions like dogs, squirrels, people, etc.
Sounds simple, right?
But it’s not. This level of control takes some effort to achieve but we help dog owners do this with their dogs.
Bucket 3
Good dog manners

‘Dog manners’ is kind of a broad term but here we’re talking about things like getting rid of jumping, chewing, digging, nuisance barking, freaking out when the doorbell rings, getting stuff out of the trash, going potty in the house, etc.
Bucket 4
Anxiety and/or Aggression

For dogs that have anxiety or aggression challenges we’re going to find a way to help work them through their training challenges.
This will look different for every dog depending on the depth and severity of the anxiety or aggression. But with every dog we’re going to help make the world a much bigger place by giving them training and new skills so they can go more places and do more things.
And for dogs who DON’T have anxiety or aggression challenges we’re going to do training and confidence building designed to ensure they don’t end up with those challenges.
Our Wilmington dog training branch is headed up by Zach, a graduate of Starmark Academy in Texas, a long time trainer who helped us open our branch in California before deciding he preferred East Coast beach living to West Coast beach living.
Wilmington residents will likely understand why 🙂
